The $275 million I-696 Restore the Reuther project began in 2023, which included rebuilding the roadway and ramps at Orchard Lake Road, American Drive, Franklin Road and US-24 (Telegraph Road).
There will be another I-696 construction project from Lahser Road to I-75 beginning in 2025, and it will last for about three years. MDOT will release more information in early 2025.
