Cold temps persist, but milder windchills bring relief this weekend for Metro Detroiters

Friday highs in lower 20s; Saturday highs in upper 30s

Friday

But it’s still very cold for kids walking to school Friday morning.

Saturday

Saturday highs climb back into the upper 30s with windchills around 29 degrees.

Sunday

Then we get back into the 40s on Sunday, but rain will make it feel cool and damp, especially in the morning.

Then, a fairly quiet weather pattern early next week.

Next week

A few showers are possible on Monday. Otherwise, the big story will be the mild temperatures, with highs Monday and Tuesday about 10 degrees above normal in the upper 40s, close to 50.
