Memorial service set for former Dearborn mayor John ‘Jack’ O’Reilly Jr

DEARBORN, Mich. – A memorial service will be held in February for former Dearborn Mayor John “Jack” B. O’Reilly Jr.
The former mayor died on New Year’s Day , surrounded by his loved ones. He was 76 years old.
The public memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center off Michigan Avenue.
O’Reilly dedicated his life to public service, serving as City Council President for 17 years and Mayor for 15. He passionately worked to better the communities of Metro Detroit.
The family is asking people to donate to the Dearborn Education Foundation or Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit in his name in lieu of flowers.
