ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Kirk Gibson Foundation has announced the 2027 Everybody vs. Parkinson’s 2 Gala, an evening to raise funds and awareness in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
The gala is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2027, from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth.
The event will bring together business leaders, philanthropists, health care professionals, athletes, celebrities, advocates, and supporters to raise money for the foundation’s efforts to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Proceeds will support advocacy, research, expanded programming, and efforts to replicate the foundation’s model of Parkinson’s wellness care in communities across Michigan and beyond.
The evening will feature dinner, entertainment, auction opportunities, and stories from people whose lives the foundation’s work has impacted.
The Sklar Brothers, University of Michigan alumni and comedy duo Randy and Jason Sklar, will host the event.
The Jerry Ross Band is also scheduled to perform.
Proceeds from the gala will help the organization expand its work beyond Michigan.
Individual tickets are $500. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Funds raised will support four primary areas:
- Advocacy: Expanding access to care, increasing research funding and advancing public policy.
- Research: Studying the impact of exercise, movement, nutrition, and therapeutic programming on Parkinson’s disease and quality of life.
- Replication: Helping communities establish Parkinson’s wellness centers modeled after the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness.
- Expanded programming: Continuing to develop fitness, education, and therapy programs for people living with Parkinson’s.
The Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s was founded by Gibson, a former Detroit Tigers star, following his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2015.
The organization opened the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness in Farmington Hills in October 2025.
The center offers free, evidence-based activity programs for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
The foundation says the center is designed to provide movement, education, wellness, and community programs while serving as a model for expanding Parkinson’s care.
