Allen Park man accused of stabbing grandmother to death, hiding body in field
Grandson charged with first-degree murder
Ian Andrew Sharpe (WDIV)DETROIT – A 31-year-old man from Allen Park is facing murder charges after his grandmother’s body was found in a Detroit field.
Police believe Ian Andrew Sharpe stabbed his grandmother, Patricia Anderson, multiple times on April 16 before moving her body to another location.
She was 84 years old at the time.
Sharpe was arrested by Allen Park police Thursday, April 17, two days before his grandmother’s body was found Saturday in a field in Detroit.
Sharpe was charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence and removing a dead body without permission. He was denied bond.
If convicted, Sharpe faces the possibility of life in prison. His probable cause conference is scheduled for April 28.
