20-year-old man hospitalized after being hit by car in Canton

CANTON, Mich. – A Van Buren Township man is hospitalized after being hit by a car Thursday night.

Just before 10 p.m. on April 24, 2025, a 61-year-old Canton man was driving his car east on Palmer Road approaching Lotz Road when police said he struck a 20-year-old Van Buren Township man crossing the street.

The 20-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unclear.

The crash is still under investigation, and police believe alcohol was not a factor.
