WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An investigation is underway after a well-known Oakland County restaurant was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning.
Waterford Township restaurant fire
The Waterford Regional Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the Fork n’ Pint restaurant at 4000 Cass Elizabeth Road at about 5:50 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025. The Fork n’ Pint is a casual restaurant that serves American food, beer, and cocktails.
The first crew arrived by 5:55 a.m. and encountered heavy fire coming through the restaurant’s roof.
“Crews initiated an aggressive interior attack; however, due to the roof collapsing into the building, they were forced to transition to a defensive operation for the safety of personnel,” according to an afternoon release from the fire department.
The building sustained significant damage and is considered a total loss.

She said she’s been to the restaurant, and used to go with her mother.
“This has been a Waterford landmark for a long time,” Campbell said. “I had my son’s graduation two years ago here. It’s sad to see what’s going on.”
Campbell said it was sad to see the Fork n’ Pint destroyed.
“I’ve eaten here, and they have great, wonderful food,” Campbell said. “It’s sad to see this staple of Waterford -- obviously it’s gone. It’s sad to see something that’s been here for a long time.”
