Before you sign on, just know, Netflix is going to look different!

More than 300 million Netflix subscribers will see some changes to their homepage in the coming weeks. The streaming giant introduced a new interface to its homepage on YouTube and says it’ll improve the user experience by helping viewers more easily decide what to watch.

During an interview with Today, Netflix CEO Greg Peters said, “we really felt like we were going to a new space with the kind of content we were bringing.” Peters added, “and we thought we really need a U-I that’ll make it easier for our members to find the shows that they want.”

The features include preview blurbs for every show and personalized badges to guide each person’s choices. Peters told Today, if a customer really cares about shows that have won awards, they might get an “Emmy Award Winner” badge, or a person who has watched every season of “Bridgerton” will get an alert that a new season is on the way.

The search tool has also moved from the left side of the menu to the top and uses artificial intelligence to curate content for each user. Viewers can also choose between captions for dialogue with background sounds or just dialogue.

The change comes after Netflix reported a 13% revenue increase at a time when most streaming services are struggling. The increased revenue comes in part from raised prices in subscription prices.
