Netflix offers a variety of plans and the plan you choose determines the video quality and the number of screens you can watch Netflix on at the same time. The basic plan that allows for just one stream in standard definition rose to $9.99 per month, an increase of $1 per month. The standard plan — which allows for two streams at the same time and HD streaming — went up from $13.99 to $15.49 per month in the United States.
