2 shot, 1 missing after car ambushed in Eastpointe

Shooters fled in stolen dark blue Dodge Durango

EASTPOINTE, Mich. – A man and a woman were shot after their car was ambushed in Eastpointe.

The shooting occurred on Thursday (May 22) at 6:15 p.m. in the 24000 block of Greenbriar Avenue.

Eastpointe police located the two victims, who were later transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where they’re listed in critical condition.

Officials were advised that a third person was also in the vehicle that was struck by bullets, but the person ran from the car, and his whereabouts are unknown as of 11 p.m.

Police said the suspects fled from the scene in a dark blue Dodge Durango that had been reported stolen from Grosse Pointe Park.
