ISLE ROYALE, Mich. – The National Park Service is investigating the deaths of two people in the northernmost part of Michigan.
According to authorities, the park service received two separate reports of people found dead at Isle Royale National Park on Sunday, June 8. Rangers allegedly had to hike 11 miles overnight to a remote campground, arriving at the site early Monday, June 9, where they found two unidentified bodies.

The causes of death are unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
