DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – Haseeb J. Habeeb, 54, of Dearborn Heights, is facing felony charges for allegedly stomping a woman’s 3-year-old chihuahua to death.
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at midnight, at a residence in the 4500 block of Fleming Street.

Allegedly, Habeeb stomped on the neck of the 45-year-old woman’s dog, killing it.
An investigation by the Dearborn Heights Police Department led to the arrest of the 54-year-old man later that same day.
Habeeb has been charged with one count of second-degree killing/torturing of an animal and one count of abandoning/cruelty to one animal.
The 54-year-old man was arraigned on May 28, 2025, in the 20th District Court and given a $300 cash bond.
The probable cause conference is scheduled for June 11, 2025, at 9 a.m.
