Part of I-94 in Wayne County to close for bridge work this weekend

Closure starts at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 27

A portion of I-94 in Wayne County will be closed this weekend for construction work on an overpass, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Crews will continue working on the Cecil Avenue overpass, which requires eastbound I-94 to be closed from Michigan Avenue to Livernois Avenue.

The closure will start at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 27, and is expected to last until 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.

According to MDOT, eastbound I-94 traffic will be detoured via eastbound US-12 and northbound Livernois Avenue, then back to eastbound I-94.
