PONTIAC, Mich. – A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle late Thursday night, and deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office are searching for the driver.
The crash happened just after 11 p.m. on Baldwin Avenue at Rundell Street in Pontiac on July 3.

According to the sheriff’s office, a 31-year-old Pontiac man was riding his bicycle north on Baldwin Avenue when he was struck by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver left the area.
The Pontiac man died at the scene.
A witness followed the Grand Cherokee onto a side street, where the driver and a passenger were seen leaving the damaged SUV and driving away in a silver Chevrolet Malibu.
Anyone with information about the driver or passenger involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Tips will remain anonymous.
