A group of people went inside the former Southwest Detroit Hospital building in the 2400 block of 20th Street at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, according to police.
One of them, only identified by police as an adult male, fell down an elevator shaft and died. Police say a medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
