Former Oakland County pastor sentenced for sexually assaulting boy

Former pastor had pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct

PONTIAC, Mich. – A 64-year-old man from Farmington Hills has been sentenced for the sexual assault of a 17-year-old boy.

Kenneth Flowers, the former pastor of the Greater New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in April. According said the assaults happened in December 2023 inside Flowers’ home.

Flowers was sentenced to 4-15 years in prison for the assault. He is also required to register with the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.
