Ground stop lifted at Detroit Metro Airport after storms move through area

ROMULUS, Mich. – The ground stop that was in effect for Delta flights at Detroit Metro Airport has been lifted, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A ground stop was in effect at DTW Monday afternoon due to storms.

Metro Detroit is seeing flash floods due to storms in the area, and residents are being told to avoid roadways until the storms pass.

The ground stop was in effect until 6 p.m.
