When troopers arrived at the scene, they found a car on fire and blocking the right and center lanes.

Further investigation revealed that a 23-year-old driver ran their car off the road to the right on I-94, went up the embankment, rolled back down on the freeway and caught fire.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle into the right lane. Witnesses told police that the driver was also run over by a passing vehicle.
