46-year-old mother dies in Oakland County mobile home fire
Cause of fire under investigation
BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 46-year-old mother died Monday morning in an Oakland County house fire.
The fire destroyed the Brandon Township mobile home, located near the intersection of Oakhill and Shashabaw roads. Nearby homes were also damaged.
Fire crews arrived just after 7:15 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, and found the home fully engulfed in flames.
According to authorities, the woman’s 13-year-old son and two teen friends were able to escape without serious injuries.
Neighbors attempted to free the woman from the burning home, but were unsuccessful.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
