PR Manager Pien Koopman tells Crain’s Detroit the museum will be a permanent installation in Detroit and will be available for private events as well.
The museum features rooms that play with size and perspective, walls that appear to spin, and illusions that make visitors feel like they’re walking on tilted floors or floating in mid-air. There are also brain puzzles, mirrors, and exhibits that test how your eyes and brain work together.
Guests will be able to explore, take photos, and enjoy a fun and strange experience unlike anything else.
The museum mixes education and entertainment with attractions like an Infinity Room with a seemingly endless display of mirrors. Optical illusions feature holograms and other effects that distort visitors’ perception.
There are over 60 locations in major cities including New York, Denver, Seattle and Las Vegas. Midwest locations include Chicago, Cleveland and the Mall of America in Minnesota.
Koopman told Crain’s that the museum will open in the last quarter of 2025.
