TROY, Mich. – Police have arrested two of the three suspects who were involved in an auto theft case. The third suspect is still at large.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (Aug. 5) at 3 p.m. when Troy Police Department Investigators were actively engaged in the auto theft investigation in the area of Maple and Crooks roads.

Police said they followed the suspects to a Metro Detroit car dealership, where they arrested two of the three suspects without incident.
Officials said the third suspect managed to flee the scene in a stolen vehicle, evading arrest.
Police reported that two of their vehicles were damaged; however, no officers were injured during the incident.
Police said the suspect continued northbound on I-75 before crashing near Coolidge Highway.
After the crash, officials said the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into a nearby area, which set off a manhunt involving a perimeter to locate and arrest the suspect.
At this time, while the individual remains at large, police said they do not believe there is a danger to the public.
The Troy Police Department is seeking information from anyone who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect.
