Woman arrested for carrying semi-automatic pistol at Monroe County apartments, police say

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A woman was arrested after walking around an apartment complex in Monroe Township with a semi-automatic pistol, police said.

Monroe County Central Dispatch received multiple calls from residents at Greenwycke Crossings Apartments on South Dixie Highway.

Callers said a woman was armed and walking around the parking lot of the complex yelling threats.

Police arrived quickly, and the 37-year-old was arrested without incident.

She was booked into Monroe County Jail facing several charges, including a felony for carrying a concealed firearm. Her identity has not been released.

Police are investigating the incident.
