Former Pontiac school security guard sentenced for impregnating teenage student

Teen’s pregnancy leads to criminal conviction

PONTIAC, Mich. – A former Pontiac school security guard who impregnated a teenage student has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of criminal sexual conduct.

Marcos Rolon-Rivera, 35, a former guard at Pontiac Academy for Excellence, was sentenced this week to 32 months to 15 years in prison. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

Rivera was found guilty on June 16, 2025, and was booked into the Oakland County Jail on August 4, 2025. His sentence officially began that same day.

According to the case report, Auburn Hills Police became involved when they learned a teen had become pregnant by a man in his 30s.

“He had worked at the school for 10 years in a position of authority over a 16-year-old,” said Lt. Jeremy Stubbs of the Auburn Hills Police Department. “It’s very unfortunate.”

Police say they were first contacted by Child Protective Services in August of 2024. At that time, Rivera was 34 years old. Investigators learned the female student had been walking to school after her school bus had broken down.

“Mister Rivera supposedly was driving by, stopped, offered to give her a ride to school, which she agreed,” said Lt. Stubbs.

But instead of taking her to school, police said Rivera took the girl to get food, and then to a Quality Inn in Auburn Hills, where they had sex.

According to investigators, Rivera dropped her off at school afterward, and she never saw or heard from him again. At the time, Rivera was married with children. The school has not yet responded to Local 4’s multiple requests for comment.

“The school told us he was actually terminated, supposedly in July of 2024 for not showing up to work,” Lt. Stubbs said.

Police said Rivera chose not to speak with them during their investigation. Local 4 also learned Rivera was in the process of becoming a reserve deputy for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office confirmed he was removed from the program as soon as they learned information about him — before he ever worked as a reserve.

Rivera was found guilty June 16, 2025, and was sentenced in August to 32 months to 15 years in prison.

“I feel for the victim’s family,” said Lt. Stubbs. “Hopefully, you know, she’s able to move forward from this.”

Note: The Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency (OLHSA) shares signage with the academy in the news story. They have no connection to the academy or the story.

“Community trust and safety are central to OLHSA’s mission,” said Susan Harding, CEO of OLHSA. “We want to be absolutely clear: OLHSA is a separate organization from Pontiac Academy of Excellence (PAE) and uses a separate contracted security service. Any visuals linking OLHSA to that story are inaccurate and risk confusing the public.”
