The prize was multiplied to $150,000 due to the Power Play.

“I typically play Powerball in Ohio, but I was in Michigan for the day golfing, so I bought my ticket while I was here,” Reynolds told Michigan Lottery officials. “I checked the winning numbers the next day and froze when I saw I matched four white balls and the Powerball. I was stunned! I have been playing these numbers for awhile and they finally paid off.”

He purchased the winning ticket at Big Daddy’s Truck Stop at 6055 Saint Anthony Road in Ottawa Lake, which is about 40 miles south of Ann Arbor.

The man told lottery officials that he plans to put his prize money toward his daughter’s college fund.

Powerball plays are $2 each and can be purchased on the Michigan Lottery website.

Drawings happen at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
