DETROIT – Detroit City Football Club’s new stadium in Southwest Detroit will be named AlumniFi Field, and it is set to open for the 2027 USL Championship season.

DCFC and AlumniFi announced an extension of their partnership, which now includes naming rights for the stadium on Monday (Aug. 11).

AlumniFi remains the club’s exclusive financial partner and front-of-kit sponsor under a multi-year agreement brokered by Sports Revenue Advisors and M3 Group.

Pending public approvals, construction on AlumniFi Field is expected to begin in late 2025 at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and 20th Street.

The soccer-specific stadium will be Detroit’s only privately owned and financed professional sports venue, with a seating capacity of 15,000.

At the announcement event, two renderings were unveiled showing views from the northwest corner and an aerial perspective from the south.

The designs were developed by HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm.

Ticket deposits for the 2027 season will open Aug. 26.
