UM-Flint partners with Detroit City FC for tuition assistance
FLINT, MI -- The University of Michigan-Flint has joined in a partnership that will allow members of the Detroit City Football Club community to receive tuition assistance. The football club announced the partnership this week, which will provide education tools and resources for the DCFC community, according to a news release from the organization. It’s a strategic partnership that will allow players, staff, coaches, alumni and community owners receive tuition assistance for all full- and part-time study at the University of Michigan-Flint. We are excited to partner with them to deliver resources to the Detroit City Football Club community for years to come.”Detroit City Football Club plays in the USL Championship, a Division II league under Major League Soccer. Nicknamed “Le Rouge,” Detroit City FC was founded in 2021 and plays home games in Hamtramck.

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. - A new women's soccer team will begin playing in the spring, the Detroit City Football Club announced this weekend. The Detroit City FC women's team, which will be part of United Women's Soccer, will play its games at Hamtramck's Keyworth Stadium. The women's season will run from May through July. DCFC season tickets will provide entrance to the women's games. Season tickets for 2020 go on sale Monday.
