FERNDALE, Mich. – Car enthusiasts from across the globe gathered along Detroit’s historic Woodward Avenue for the 30th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, where Ford Motor Company’s display bridged automotive heritage with future innovation.
At the intersection of Woodward and 9 Mile Road, more than 700 Mustang owners showcased their vehicles in the company’s signature Mustang Alley display, drawing crowds eager to witness both classic models and cutting-edge designs.
“This is where cool, sexy and a lot of cool cars come together,” said Brian Frisbie, an attendee.
Among the standout displays, Ford unveiled the 2026 Mustang FX package, designed as a tribute to the iconic ‘Fox body’ Mustang.
Stefan Taylor, Mustang designer at Ford, explained the vehicle’s significance and timeliness as research indicates the average age of buyers for muscle cars trends older.
“This package, offered on the 2026 Mustang GT 5.0L V8, pays homage to one of our most beloved designs,” he said.
The company also showcased its electric innovation with two distinctive Mustang Mach-E variants.
Nick Kuhajda, program supervisor at Ford, highlighted these unique vehicles.
“We’re displaying the Super Mustang Mach-E hill climb car that recently competed at Pikes Peak, alongside the Mustang Mach-E NASCAR prototype,” he said.
The Ford Bronco display celebrated the SUV’s 60th anniversary with two special edition models: the Bronco Sport Badlands Sasquatch and Bronco Badlands Sasquatch.
These vehicles feature custom wraps inspired by Michigan’s natural landmarks.
“The wraps emulate the Silver Lake Sand Dunes – the sand, the sky and the water,” said Natalie Simon, enthusiast manager for Bronco and Mustang at Ford. “We’ve also incorporated customized wrapped roofs on both vehicles.”
The Bronco Corral, a dedicated space for enthusiasts, showcased six decades of evolution for the legendary SUV nameplate.
The new Broncos are an ode to the best features hailing from the Great Lakes State.
The massive one-day car culture celebration is less pedal to the metal and more about taking the time to savor the views.
