OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Police are seeking the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Jacob Angeles, who disappeared after attending the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly on Saturday.

Angeles, a Rockwood resident, was last seen with his mother at the festival around 11 a.m., where they took a photo together. His silver Jeep was later captured by license plate readers in two locations far from the festival grounds.

Surveillance Technology Provides Key Timeline
Flock cameras tracked Angeles’s silver 2006 Jeep Commander traveling north, first spotting it at 3:34 p.m. near Clio and Coldwater Roads in Mount Morris.
The vehicle appeared again at 4:16 p.m. in Saginaw on the I-675 ramp merging onto northbound I-75 — approximately 50 miles from the Renaissance Festival.
His Commander has a license plate number of “ELH 8954.”
Investigation Reveals Concerning Details
When family members attempted to contact Angeles around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, their calls went unanswered.
Rockwood police have been pinging his phone every 15 minutes without success.
Adding to the mystery, family members discovered Angeles’s computer hard drive was missing when they tried to access it.
Community Response Grows
The disappearance has sparked significant community involvement, with thousands joining a dedicated Facebook group to aid in the search. Rockwood Police have received more than 100 tips from across Michigan as of Thursday (Aug. 21).
The family posted a message on Facebook Thursday stating, “We appreciate everyone’s concern, but have been instructed by police to not continue posting due to interference in their investigation.”
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone who attended the Renaissance Festival on Saturday to review their photos and dash camera footage for potential sightings of Angeles or his silver Jeep.
