The body of a man who was found in Pine Lake in Oakland County nearly a month ago has been positively identified by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Laboratory analysts as 30-year-old Alfonce Capone Friday.
Police said Friday’s body was discovered on Tuesday (July 29), floating in the lake.

Officials said he was last seen alive at 11 p.m. on Sunday (July 27) by his mother when he left the Southfield apartment they shared.
Police said personnel from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team and SIU were called to the 3200 block of Pine Lake Road around 8:30 p.m. on July 29, 2025.
Officers from West Bloomfield Township said they were at the scene, confirmed the man was deceased, and requested assistance from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said no identification was found with the body.
Officials said Friday’s mother filed a missing person report with the Southfield Police Department on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.
Sheriff’s investigators said they learned of the report the next day and asked the mother for any of Friday’s personal items for DNA testing.
Friday’s mother said he had taken all his personal items with him.
Investigators said they ultimately located some items, including a bottle of lotion, which was submitted to the forensic lab for testing.
The identity of Friday was confirmed on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025.
