According to authorities, Aerian Porter-Craig sold and delivered drugs to three individuals at two homes in Grosse Pointe Woods on June 9, 2023. All three victims died within minutes of ingesting the substance.

A medical examiner found fentanyl in all three victims’ systems and ruled that their deaths would not have occurred without taking the drugs. A white powder found in one of the homes tested positive for fentanyl, cocaine, and xylazine -- an animal tranquilizer.

Porter-Craig reportedly distributed the drugs knowing they conained fentanyl.

Text messages revealed that the victims believed they were buying cocaine.

Porter-Craig was arrested more than a year later, in September 2024. According to an affidavit filed Aug. 22, 2025, she pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of fentanyl and cocaine. If the court accepts her plea, her charges of distribution resulting in death would be dismissed.

She faces a possible sentence of 16 to 20 years in federal prison.
