Oakland County home destroyed in Labor Day fire Husband treated for smoke inhalation
CLARKSTON, Mich. – An Oakland County home was destroyed on Labor Day in a massive fire.
The fire started Monday, Sept. 1, in the garage of a home on Middle Lake Road in Clarkston. Authorities said the husband tried to use a garden hose to extinguish the fire and delayed calling the fire department. When fire crews arrived, the home was completely engulfed and destroyed.
The husband was taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
