HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – A case of murder suicide has left a child parentless in Hamtramck.
“Just sucks for the baby cause the baby has to grow up without parents because he was so selfish,” said the victim’s cousin, Alicia Lepkowski.
The past few days have been extremely rough for Donald Frame and Lepkowski, ever since their loved one, 24-year-old Briana Frames, was killed by her ex, before he turned the gun on himself.
The incident occurred on Friday (Aug. 29) at the Colonel Hamtramck Homes complex.
“She was a good mom. Even still with her passing, there are still packages coming to the house that she ordered, stuff for her baby,” Lepkowski said.
To make matters worse, the murder suicide happened in front of Frame’s 10-month-old daughter and Donald.
“She’s screaming, and then I saw him shoot her in the face. And then I went to grab my dad, and then I told him that she’s been shot,” said Donald.
“Nobody should have to come back to the house and clean up a family member’s blood from the ground. Like, how do you even go on?” Lepkowski said.
Family members are doing the best they can to raise Brianna’s baby, who now has to grow up without a mother and father.
“My sister was only 24 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She was looking forward to her daughter walking and her first birthday he just took that away from us,” Donald said.
Lepkowski wants Brianna’s death to be a clear message that domestic situations must be taken seriously.
“People tell you to walk away, and you walk away, and you still have to worry,” Lepkowski said.
