Crews battle fire at apartment building in Westland

WESTLAND, Mich. – Crews battled a fire at an apartment complex in Westland early Friday morning.

The apartment complex near Central City Parkway and Warren Road caught fire at around 5 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2025.

Westland Fire Department said the top floor of the apartment building caught fire and at least three or four units were burning when crews arrived.

Firefighters put out the fire and were able to contain it within the few units affected.

Fortunately, everyone left the apartments okay.
