LYON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A popular restaurant and brewery in Lyon Township announced it’s closing after 10 years in business.
Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits posted on social media it will close Sept. 13.
“Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your loyal patronage and support over the past decade,” according to the post. “We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing staff—without their dedication, hard work, and passion, none of this would have been possible. They have truly been the heart and soul of Draught Horse!”
There’s good news for beer lovers; the location’s new owner will continue it as a restaurant and microbrewery and keep on any staff who wish to remain.
“Between now and 9/13, we will honor 4th quarter promotional certificates from last Christmas’s gift card deal, though we kindly ask for patience as we serve you with our smaller staff,” the post read.
The restaurant is planning a farewell party to celebrate the community. Details for that will be announced soon.
The brewery located at 57721 Grand River Ave. opened in September 2015.
