Police, FBI seek public’s help to identify shooter in killing of Charlie Kirk High-powered rifle found in woods near campus
OREM, Utah – The shooter who killed conservative activist Charlie Kirk remains on the loose .
Kirk was killed with a single shot Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Utah Valley University campus. The FBI believes the shooting was targeted.
While the shooter escaped, the FBI confirmed they recovered a weapon believed to be used in the shooting. A high-powered bolt-action rifle was found in nearby woods , where authorities think the shooter fled.
Authorities said they have video footage of the suspected shooter. They said the shooter “appears to be of college age” and “blended in” with students on the college campus .
Officials asked the public to share any video or images with the FBI that could help identify the suspect. A $100,000 reward has been offered for information.
