DETROIT – Detroit Lions fans are still celebrating the team’s victory against former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and his Chicago Bears, especially enjoying a memorable video of Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jared Goff making a leap into the Lions’ Leap Zone.
One of the players jumped more gracefully than the other during the 52-21 thrashing and celebration on Sunday, Sept. 14.
Jason Raznick and his daughter, Aria Raznick, were caught on camera trying to help Goff up into the stands after the leap.
Jason recalled the moment, saying, “If you notice when Amon-Ra jumps in, I fall back in my chair, so I need to get stronger. I need to work on my core as I fell straight back into my chair. I’ve got to work on my core for sure.”
Aria shared her excitement from the moment St. Brown scored.
“So when St. Brown scored and he pointed at us, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ He jumped, and I was going crazy. I started doing this dance,” said Aria, describing her joyful reaction.
When Goff attempted his leap, Aria said, “He got stuck and couldn’t get on. Then he got stuck on me, and I was slapping his belly.”
Goff later commented on the jump, saying, “Me, bad again, really bad, I know, really bad. I wanted to get up there because I’ve seen it for years now. I wanted to get up there into the Lions Leap zone. Like, alright, this is my chance, and, bad, but I was waiting for someone to help me out, like pull me up there, and I didn’t get any help, not good.”
The next day at school, Aria said she was the center of attention.
“A kid ran up to me and said, ‘I saw you on the Jumbotron.’ Then more kids came, and they were all like, ‘I saw you.’ My teacher was going crazy,” Aria said.
Aria, a fourth grader, was even nicknamed “The Legend of the Lions” by her classmates.
The joyful moment captured the spirit of the Lions’ win and the strong connection between players and fans.
Jason and Aria’s enthusiasm added a heartwarming touch to the celebration.
