Man charged in deadly motorcycle crash on Detroit’s east side

DETROIT – A man is facing multiple charges after a crash on Detroit’s east side killed a motorcyclist.

The crash happened Sept 13. on Van Dyke Avenue, near Robinwood Street. Police believe Antawuan Brown was driving a Dodge Durango when he struck the motorcycle just before 11:30 p.m.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died.

A woman was taken into custody at the scene. It’s unknown what her involvement was in the crash.

Brown was charged with operating while license suspended, revoked or denied causing death; possession of controlled substances; and moving violation causing death.
