NOVI, Mich. – A boil water advisory has been issued and schools are closed in Novi following a water main break Thursday morning.
Update: What to know about boil water advisory issued for parts of Oakland County
The water main break happened on 14 Mile Road, just west of M-5, in the city of Novi on Sept. 25, 2025.
City officials said the process to restore the water main could take several hours.
According to the city, all affected areas in the map below will be under a boil water advisory.

The Novi Water Department is investigating the issue.
