Men arrested after fleeing hit-and-run crash that killed woman on Detroit’s east side

DETROIT – Two men were arrested after they fled a hit-and-run crash that killed a woman on Detroit’s east side.

The incident occurred on Thursday (Sept. 25) around 5:55 p.m. on Schoenherr Road and East 8 Mile Road.

Police said the two men were driving in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that struck and killed a woman driving a Lexus.

Officials said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the two men, after the crash, fled but were detained before being taken to a Metro Detroit hospital.
