According to authorities, Ian Matthew Johnson sprayed lotion on a woman’s back because he found her attractive.

It happened about two weeks after Johnson reportedly had groped a woman on the Clinton River Trail in Auburn Hills.

After an investigation, Auburn Hills police arrested him about a month later and charged him with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

During questioning about that case, Johnson reportedly admitted to spraying lotion on the woman in Troy for self-satisfaction, leading to a second fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge.

In both cases, Johnson was given a $7,500 bond. His probable cause conference is scheduled for Oct. 2.

If convicted in either case, Johnson faces a misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in jail, a fine of up to $500 and mandatory sex offender registration.
