Farmington Hills man faces multiple charges after deadly crash

DETROIT – A 23-year-old man from Farmington Hills has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed a 40-year-old woman from Sterling Heights.

Sandi Odisho was killed Thursday, Sept. 5, when her vehicle was hit near the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Schoenherr Street on Detroit’s east side.

Police believe Cameron Lee Sims was drunk and speeding when he crashed into her vehicle. Sims and another man reportedly ran away, but they were arrested shortly after.

Sims was charged with operating while intoxicated causing death, reckless driving causing death and leaving the scene of an accident when at fault causing death.

It’s unknown if the second man will face charges.
