4Warn Weather – Frost Advisory in effect for much of Metro Detroit until 9 a.m. Friday.
Monroe and Wayne counties, including the city of Detroit, are not included because of the influences of Lake Huron and Lake Erie.
Otherwise, another clear, cool night will allow temperatures to dip into the mid-30s, prompting the need to protect sensitive plants.
Mums are good to go as they are hearty enough to withstand a light frost.
However, water remains an issue as we are still experiencing drought conditions across much of Metro Detroit.
There is a chance for rain beginning Friday evening and continuing through Saturday.
Timing and amounts remain in question and should become a bit clearer by Friday.
A brief warm-up early next week until the bottom falls out and we get a healthy blast of cool fall air by Thursday.
