DETROIT – Nightlife in Detroit gets bigger this weekend with the grand opening of Ora Detroit, a luxury dining and nightlife spot. It opens Friday inside the Bankers Trust Building at 205 W. Congress St. in Detroit’s Financial District.
It’s a concept from Mario Camaj, who also operates Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro in Birmingham, BESA in Downtown Detroit, ZANA in Birmingham and the new Franklin Oyster Bar & Eatery as a hospitality partner.
Ora will offer dinner service and weekend brunch, led by executive chef Andrew Ossowski-Blair, who joins Ora after almost a decade as a private chef.
The dinner menu at Ora will include lamb lollipops with zip sauce, bang bang shrimp and artisan flatbreads. A late-night menu features sliders, mac and cheese melts and fried chicken tenders. The brunch menu includes velvet touch shrimp and grits, a morning smash burger and Sin-a-Mon French toast.
On Thursday and Friday, live music and shareable plate service will start at 4 p.m. in a lounge setting before transforming into a nightclub at 9 p.m. Weekend brunch will start at 11 a.m. and the space will turn into a nightclub at 5 p.m. It will be open for private events only Monday-Wednesday.
