Inkster police detain suspect, seize multiple guns after fight escalates to gunfire

INKSTER, Mich. – Inkster police detained a suspect and seized multiple guns after a fight escalated to gunfire.

The incident on Feb. 5, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., when Inkster police officers responded to a call in the 26000 block of Dartmouth Street that escalated from a fight to shots fired.

Following decisive actions of the officers, the suspect was detained, and multiple firearms were removed from the streets.

The weapons seized included three rifles, three handguns, one shotgun, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
