36-year-old woman arrested after Port Huron gas station shooting leaves man dead

The woman was taken into custody without incident

PORT HURON, MICH. – A 36-year-old woman was arrested after police said she shot and killed a man at a gas station in Port Huron.

The incident occurred on Monday (Oct. 13) at 4:41 p.m. in the 1300 block of Military Street.

Upon arrival, police said they found a 30-year-old Detroit man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said they immediately provided medical aid until Tri-Hospital EMS transported the victim to Lake Huron Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The 36-year-old Port Huron woman was taken into custody without incident.

She is currently lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention Center and is cooperating with investigators.

The Port Huron Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is leading the active and ongoing investigation.
