Suspect in Oakland County restaurant stabbing arrested after returning to Michigan

TROY, Mich. – A man has been taken into custody and charged in a stabbing that took place at an Oakland County restaurant in August.

It happened in the parking lot of the Sedona Taphouse Restaurant in Troy on August 30. Police believe Dquavion Lamariee Broome got into an altercation with a man he knew and stabbed him.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Broome reportedly had left the state after the stabbing and had only very recently returned to Michigan.

Police, aided by the FBI Violent Crime Task Force, took Broome into custody Thursday, Oct. 9. He was charged the next day with assault with intent to do great bodily harm.

Broome’s bond was set at $500,000.
