4Warn Weather – Rain on a weekend is never ideal, but with drought conditions continuing to worsen across Metro Detroit, it will be a welcome sight.
Saturday
If you’re making outdoor plans, Saturday is the better of the two days, but try to get your activities in early, as rain and storms could come as early as the late afternoon hours.
With strong southerly winds, highs on Saturday climb all the way to the mid to even upper 70s. Our normal high is 62.
A potent autumn storm brings showers and the possibility of thunderstorms on Saturday night into Sunday, with heavy rain being the primary threat.
Sunday
Because the ground is so dry, flash flooding could be an issue with as much as 1 to 2 inches of rain possible by Sunday afternoon.
A windy and rainy day for the second half of the weekend with cooler temps in the low 60s.
Next week
By the end of next week, a shot of cold fall air will finally arrive, with highs in the low 50s and lows in the 30s.
