Screams return to Pontiac as Erebus haunted house opens for Halloween season

The family-run attraction has been scaring visitors for more than 20 years

PONTIAC, Mich. – A spooky staple of the season is back in Pontiac!

Erebus, one of Michigan’s most famous haunted houses, is open for the Halloween season.

The family-run attraction has been scaring visitors for more than 20 years.

Brothers Zac and Brad Terebus say they add new frights every year, and some people don’t even make it to the end before running out in fear.

Erebus is four stories of pure nightmares, and it’s officially open for business.

“It’s an absolute rush,” said Brad. “It’s something you can’t experience any other time of the year, where you’re actually paying for people to actually come over and scare you and get your blood pumping and your heart flowing.”

“On a deeper scale, I’d say fear is one of your most honest emotions,” said Zac. “

Erebus will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.
