TROY, Mich. – A Detroit Italian restaurant is bringing its brand of coffee to Somerset Collection in Troy. The announcement was made during the summer and now we know the coffee shop is set to open the week of Nov. 3.
Mad Nice Coffee will run out of a space on the second level of Somerset South near the skywalk. The space was previously home to other coffee shop concepts.
Mad Nice Coffee will sell coffee, bagels, baked goods, salads and Mad Nice’s vanilla bean gelato. The shop will open 30 minutes before the rest of the mall. Mad Nice Coffee will open at 9 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. The Somerset coffee shop is designed by Detroit-based Tury Design.
Mad Nice, at 4120 Second Ave. in Midtown Detroit, offers Italian dishes, wood-fired pizza and pasta. The Detroit space also includes a bar and retail space called ‘Mad Nice Goods’ that serves coffee, tea and baked goods.
