Parking for 2025 America’s Thanksgiving Parade, presented by Gardner White

DETROIT – If you’re planning on attending this year’s America’s Thanksgiving Parade, presented by Gardner White, here’s what to know about some of your parking options.

Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy free metered street parking across Detroit on Thanksgiving Day.

Drivers should be sure not to block any crosswalks, driveways, fire hydrants or other critical access points. Cars that are illegally parked will be ticketed and possibly towed.

There are also several parking garages that visitors can use.

The Detroit Municipal Parking Department hasn’t released its updated list of recommended parking garages/rates for this year’s event yet, but you can use Park Whiz to find garages close to the parade route.
